Founded in 1995, the Mpumalanga Falconry Club (MFC) is a dedicated community of falconers. The club, which started with 10 members, has maintained a small but active membership with some great birds being flown.
The MFC has a history of fostering positive relationships with conservation authorities, notably the Mpumalanga Parks Board (now M.T.P.A). Despite changes within the M.T.P.A, the MFC has worked tirelessly to maintain a constructive relationship with new officials, offering guidance on falconry practices.
The club also collaborates with the Dullstroom Bird of Prey Centre, aiding in the rehabilitation and reintegration of birds into the wild.
