Eastern Cape Falconry Club

The Eastern Cape Falconry Club was established in August 1994 by two passionate falconers. Initially members of the Western Cape Club, they played a significant role in legalizing falconry in the Cape Province.

The club was born out of a need for better administration and proximity, given the vast distances between the Cape Town area and the Eastern Cape. Stephenson and his colleague decided to form a new club, aligning its constitution and policy with the SAFA regulations of the time.

Today, the Eastern Cape Falconry Club enjoys a positive relationship with conservation authorities and negotiates a wild take permit each year. Despite the challenges, the club remains a vibrant community dedicated to the practice and preservation of falconry.
